Roots & Wealth Initiative is an agricultural company committed to strengthening communities through the power of gardening, education, and access to fresh, nutritious food. We believe that gardens are more than places where food grows—they serve as the nexus between agriculture, health, and education and have the power to restore healthy traditions and interpersonal connections that allow our communities to thrive for generations. 

What We Do

We design and build gardens for communities and schools, creating hands-on spaces where people can cultivate their relationship with food. Through these gardens, we help increase access to fresh produce while providing opportunities for children, families, educators, and community members to learn about agriculture, nutrition, environmental stewardship, and the importance of making healthy food choices.

Why We Do It

We believe everyone should have access to healthy food, which can have a lasting impact on individual and community well-being.  Chronic conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity plague our communities. Gardens encourage physical activity, promote healthier eating habits, support mental wellness, and bring people together. By planting gardens in schools and communities, Roots & Wealth Initiative is helping people reconnect with where their food comes from while planting seeds of knowledge, health, sustainability, and opportunity that can benefit generations to come.
